I've never been so overwhelmed by a movie, that I have Nitram. It was an uncomfortable movie- I even realised towards the end of it, I wasnt even comfortable in my actual seat, at times I was literally sitting and leaning forward, instead of doing my usual "settling in" and slouching when I go to the cinema. It was boring, it was mundane, it was terrifying. It was a horror movie without the actual horror. There was two points in the film I got quite emotional- when Bryant is "playing around" with some piece of musical equipment its extremely loud in the cinema, i had to put my fingers in my ears , and immediately I thought it sounded exactly like automatic gunfire, it was just so chilling, not to mention foreshadowing.

And then the scene with him buying the firearms. The ending was devoid of any music or soundtrack. Which just made it even the more horrific- this is what it would have been like, this is it- just a guy walking into a cafe, eating a fruit cup and then inflicting one of the worst massacres in history.

Throughout the film I could see parts where they tried to illicit some sympathy from the viewer for him, but each time I was "leaning that way" I just remembered what he did.
